For a band to continue to thrive 40 years in the music business, the mantra must be, these songs are bigger than any one member. GRAMMY nominated hard rock legends Great White are adding onto that line with the saying: expect the unexpected. It’s rock and roll, baby. The peaks and the valleys haven’t stopped– nor has the music. Great White’s ride runs deep and its passion for the music goes beyond any depth.

That arsenal of songs include the Grammy nominated Best Hard Rock Performance hit, “Once Bitten, Twice Shy,” Great White has sold over 10 million albums worldwide, has six Top 100 Billboard hits, nine Top 200 Billboard albums, two platinum albums, and clocked the top of MTV four times.

To experience their hits live in concert—“Rock Me,” “Mista Bone,” “Save Your Love,” “House of Broken Love,” and “Lady Red Light”—is to ride an emotional wave of sultry connections, arousing lyrics, and an all-out marathon of hard-hitting orchestrations. Audiences might also hear tracks like “Something For You”, “Hard To Say Goodbye”, “Big Time” or one of the many deep cuts from Great White’s 13 studio albums.

California-based Great White is Mark Kendall (guitar), Michael Lardie (guitar, keyboards), Audie Desbrow (drums), Scott Snyder (bass), and Brett Carlisle (vocals). Since 1982, the Great White sound has captivated audiences worldwide with crushing, blues-based guitar riffs and swagger that invokes an emotional high for anyone that listens. The band’s core writing team of Lardie and Kendall forged numerous hits over the years, and when Desbrow joined in ’85, the grooves hooked an amazing stride.

Now for more than a decade, Snyder has merged his unforgiving rhythm to Desbrow’s relentless percussion.

From an early gig at the famed Los Angeles’ Troubadour, to sharing arena stages with rock’s biggest names like Judas Priest, Whitesnake, Scorpions, to globe-trotting alongside contemporaries Slaughter, Vixen, Skid Row, Vince Neil and more – Great White continues to bring its exhilarating live performance to the masses.

Born into a musically gifted family, GREAT WHITE founder, Mark Kendall grew up in Huntington Beach, California. His father played jazz trumpet; his mother sang her heart out to jazz tunes before adoring audiences. His grandfather, too, was a virtuoso on the piano. Citing Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and The Doors as early influences, Kendall’s passion and natural abilities got him hooked on guitar.

When not in the recording studio or on stage with GREAT WHITE, Kendall has been invited to perform in the Vegas Rocks Magazine All-Star Jam alongside contemporaries George Lynch, Vince Neil, Zakk Wylde, and more. Kendall is a solid supporter of MusiCares, whereas his relentless efforts to help those seeking a sober life have been expressed in feature stories on Fox News and numerous national radio programs. Kendall is a baseball enthusiast (go Dodgers) and boasts skill in both billiards and poker, all of which he showcased on the popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

Soon to be released will be their documentary along with a live performance from The Hard Rock in Las Vegas.

Mark has been married for 20 years to his beautiful wife Bridget and has 4 children, Jonathan, Taylor, Shane and Ashley and one grandson, Noah Jagger.

Michael is no stranger to music having played with Great White for thirty-six years, with several platinum selling studio albums to his credit.

He is quick witted, has a memory for detail of band history that won’t quit, and is always gracious to his fans. He has never grown tired of the life of a musician, having kept busy playing with CC Deville’s Samantha 7 before joining the ranks of Night Ranger, during 2003-2007. He thoroughly enjoyed the camaraderie of Night Ranger, having known Jack Blades for twenty-three years.

When the original line up reformed in 2007, Michael knew it was time to rejoin Great White.

Of half Scottish and half Russian (Georgia) decent, Michael John Lardie was born on September 8, 1958 in Anchorage, Alaska and raised in Sacramento, California. The oldest of six boys, he grew up listening to every type of music you could imagine from the Beatles to Motown , classical to country and a good size helping of the blues that sparked an early interest in playing music.

That diversity of musical tastes gives an extra element to Great White’s unique sound.

A man of many talents, he plays a wide range of instruments including piano, synthesizer, guitar, banjo, flute, harmonica, mandolin, bass, sitar, percussion, and has also showcased his vocal talents. He has been involved with many different bands as an arranger, a producer and an engineer, most recently mixing Sheryl Crow’s live album from the Capitol Theater

An avid sports fan, he favors the Minnesota Vikings Since 1969.

Chicago’s Scott Snyder joined Great White in 2008. The go-to guy and gifted bassist has been a natural fit to the brotherhood. Snyder’s instincts and versatility have elicited amazing chemistry on all Great White releases since Rising (2009, Frontiers).

Snyder said he’s gained so much as a member of Great White.

“Being able to play as much as we do, I'm able to hone my vocal and playing ability with finesse, as well as working with the band to be the tightest unit live, people notice a tight band, even a non musician notices,” Synder said.

When not touring or recording with Great White, Snyder owns Rock Me Tattoo & Piercing Company. His artwork and attention to detail is just another extension to his approachable (most of the time very funny!) and creative presence – many of which lifelong Great White fans have eagerly embraced.

“I'm completely honored to be so excepted by the fans, after being called former bass players for the first couple years, they now know me by name, know my background, and always have something great to say about me being in the band,” Snyder said.  “It's very humbling to me to be so love by so many around the world. I'll never take it for granted.”
